A Journey Woven with Tradition

My journey into the profound world of yoga began not with a conscious decision, but as an inherent part of my upbringing in the heart of Nepal. I was fortunate to be born into a family and culture with yogic philosophy and practices. From childhood, the rhythms of pranayama, the gentle flow of asanas, and the resonant chants of Sanskrit mantras were woven into the fabric of my daily life. This immersive experience established a strong foundation for the ancient wisdom of yoga.

Complementing this cultural immersion was my formal education. I delved into the study of Sanskrit in the primary and high school, the classical language of yoga, meditation and Hinduism. This exploration provided me with a direct connection to the original texts and scriptures, allowing me to understand the philosophical underpinnings of yoga with a greater clarity.

Driven by a desire to deepen my understanding and share the transformative power of yoga, I embarked on a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training course in Nepal. This intensive program provided me with a comprehensive understanding of asana, pranayama, meditation, yogic philosophy, and teaching methodology. It was a period of intense self-discovery, where I not only sharpened my physical asana practice but also gained the confidence and skills to guide others on their own yogic paths.

For over 15 years, I have had the privilege of both practicing and teaching yoga. This journey has been a continuous process of learning and growth, both on and off the yoga mat. Teaching has allowed me to witness the profound impact of yoga on individuals from diverse backgrounds, reinforcing my belief in its universal appeal and transformative potential. Each class, each interaction, has been a learning experience, shaping my understanding of yoga and refining my teaching approach. My personal practice has been a constant source of strength and inspiration, providing me with a sense of balance, clarity, and inner peace.

Recently, my journey has expanded to encompass the healing modalities of Reiki and singing bowls. I completed Level 1 and 2 certifications in both disciplines in Nepal, further enriching my understanding of the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. Reiki has allowed me to explore the subtle energies of the body, while sound healing has introduced me to the power of vibration and resonance in promoting healing and well-being. These new skills have allowed me to offer more holistic and integrated approaches to healing and wellness.

To sum up, my yogic journey is an ongoing exploration, a continuous unfolding of self-discovery and growth. From the cultural immersion of my childhood to the formal study of Sanskrit, the rigorous training of a yoga teacher, and the profound experiences of teaching and practicing for over a decade, I have been blessed to walk a path that has enriched my life in countless ways. The recent additions of Reiki and sound healing courses have added new dimensions to my practice, allowing me to share a more comprehensive approach to well-being. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share the wisdom and transformative power of yoga with others, and I look forward to continuing this lifelong journey of learning and growth.
